Step 1
Air Management
Choose the valves and controls that raise, lower and level your suspension.
Shop Air Management KitsEKMW rear air suspension kit for 1988–1998 Chevy and GMC 1/2-ton full-size trucks. This setup replaces the rear leaf-spring arrangement with an EKMW 2-link system, welded step notch, bag mounts, shock mounts and panhard-bar components.
The one-piece notch slips over the frame and welds in place. Upper shock mounts are already welded to the notch crossbars. After the notch is installed, the frame is cut and boxed using the supplied filler pieces.
The 2-link bars install using the factory leaf-spring hangers and bolt to the rear axle with the supplied U-bolt kit. The bars include lower bag mounts, lower shock mounts and a 2-inch block.
The upper bag mounts are built into the supplied crossbar. Position the crossbar over the lower 2-link bag mounts and weld it in place.
The notch already includes the panhard-bar frame mount. Bolt the bar to the notch, weld the axle-side mount in place, and the suspension is ready for air bags.
This kit requires welding, frame cutting and fabrication. Confirm your wheel/tire combination and intended ride height before installation.
